Haven't felt like today in a while. Seems like we've lost a friend, philosopher and guide. Someone who cannot be replaced. Like we still ruminate on the words of Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, Buddha...thousands of years after their death, the "wit & wisdom" of Charlie Munger will keep enriching generations of value investors.

Beautifully said Anand. Can't imagine Buffet without Munger by his side in the next Berkshire meeting. May he rest in eternal peace. His wisdom will light the world for generations to come.

Such a beautifully articulated tribute!

You know the feeling when you read your thoughts and feelings expressed much better than you ever could? I have that right now.

I feel a void in his passing but consider myself lucky to have lived in his era!

May his soul rest in peace. He lives on forever through his teachings. As he always say " Make friends with eminent dead to avoid mistakes and be successful in life ." So "HIS CULT" keeps on expanding as deserving young people continue learning from him. He is going to have new disciples across the world for a very very long time through his teachings as they are embodiment of him. Om Shanti

This is so well written. Couldn't agree more with the fact that his genius goes well beyond investing. I wrote a small piece drawing a parallel between Mamba Mentality by Kobe Bryant and how that goes well with Munger. (Called it Munger mentality) A legend!

Well put Anand; I totally echo your feelings as fellow value investor who learnt freely from wisdom of Charlie and Warren; may his soul rest in peace.

Thanks Anand,

We can just celebrate his genius and keep remembering anecdotes that have and will continue to stay with us. The hits just kept on coming till 99... and he signed of with a Bradmanesque average.

Coffee cheers...
