Respected sir, As much as I understand & agree with the overall sentiment of what you are saying here; being that this is a very sensitive human issue that is going to lead to massive civilian casualties henceforth, I have to point out that your central argument - that of contextualising this act of terror using numbers - rests on a piece of information that is not yet publicly verified by an unbiased party at the moment.
Fair point sir; the source for these numbers is a spokesperson of the IDF & I could not find any proof that the Israel delegation in the UN or the UN press officially claims this number, hence my concern.

On what basis are you dispute something that even Hamas hasn't disputed?
